Olivier Strauch, LLM, Lecturer, began his career in Boston teaching English to professionals and university students from around the world, with a focus on formal, academic and business English. He went on to become a solicitor practising in areas including telecommunications regulation, and commercial, securities and tax litigation, with a particular focus on drafting and editing both persuasive and transactional documents. He completed a second law degree in Amsterdam and has spent several years doing legal consulting work (such as contract and licence drafting and negotiation) and teaching work (including as a reviewer of student research memoranda for in-house professional development education). Olivier has also been a professional musician and guitar teacher, camp counsellor and soap maker. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual and Environmental Studies from Harvard College, a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Centre, and an LLM in European Union and International Law from the University of Amsterdam.
