Wittenborg offers different types of furnished, student accommodation in a number of different locations in Apeldoorn, all relatively close to our study locations (1-5 km).
Accommodation for New Students in Apeldoorn
- Off-campus accommodation:
Apartments that are situated 5 km away from the campuses and shared by 4 students. Students have their own single room and share the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities. - Campus accommodation:
Dormitory accommodation is situated directly behind the Brinklaan campus and shared by 34 students. Students have their own single room and share kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry facilities. - Studio accommodation:
Studio accommodation is situated directly behind the Brinklaan campus, next to the dormitory accommodation with 75 studio apartments. Students have their own studio with private bed, bathroom and kitchen. The laundry room and living room is shared with other students.
The apartments and dormitory are referred to as Wittenborg's Shared-facility accommodations, and the studio apartments are referred to Wittenborg's Studio accommodation. All rooms and studios have basic furniture and high-speed internet that is inclusive of the package fee and rent.
Students from the EU
Although Dutch and other EU-national students are encouraged to find their own accommodation, they can opt for Wittenborg’s own housing upon availability.
Students from non-EU countries
For a non-EU, ‘package-fee’-paying student who needs Wittenborg to arrange their study visa to be able to join us in Apeldoorn, the accommodation fee (plus administration fee for new-arrival students) of the first 11-14 weeks is included in their package fee. The room allocation is mostly based on the availability of rooms in a particular period, meaning there will be placement in the shared-facilities when no studio is available.
Students will be allocated a room in either an apartment, studio or campus complex, sharing a common area and all facilities with other students, both male and female.
After the package-fee period, which means after the first 11-14 weeks, we encourage students to find their own accommodation. Many students decide to find accommodation together with their newly made friends! This also means that our rooms will then be available again to new students arriving at Wittenborg.
On the FAQ page of Wittenborg-Online, students will find contact information of local real estate companies and student housing providers/agencies in Apeldoorn, so they will have plenty of time to arrange their next accommodation.
If, after the first rental period, a student decides to stay on in one of the rooms provided by Wittenborg, the deadline of the rental extension has to be followed as stated in the Student Housing Contract. Although the maximum stay period is 6 months, it is dependent on the room availability and approval from Wittenborg Student Housing Department.
Currently, all students are guaranteed housing for a maximum of 14 weeks at accommodations provided by Wittenborg to assure that rooms are made available for newly arriving students.
