Music Workshop & International Food Night

On the 19th of November  at 17:00 Wittenborg will be hosting a Music Workshop at the Amsterdam Campus.

Why?
The idea of the workshop is to help participants feel confident when pitching an idea or presenting in front of an audience. The participants get to know each other in a fun and creative way that encourages them to learn more about their teammates' hidden talents.
 
How?
The participants will form teams. Each team will be given a choice of background music without lyrics. The teams have one hour to come up with lyrics and a performance that tells the judges why their team is the best. Participants will need to recognise talent among their teammates and inspire them to perform to the best of their abilities. The teams’ performance will be rated according to a jury of their peers. The performance should demonstrate positivity, presence, teamwork and originality. The winning team takes home a basket from Tony Chocoloney.
 
When?
How long will it take? Roughly 2 ½ hours, after which there is a potluck dinner in the student lounge. Students who are interested can contact Amy Abdou: amy.abdou@wittenborg.eu on register here.
 
Event Outline:
 
17:00 - 17:20  Brief introduction about the power of music and tapping your hidden talents
17:20 - 17:45  Team formation, listening and distribution of tracks
17:45 - 18:45  Teams work on their performances
18:45 - 19:30  Teams reconvene to perform
 
Equipment:
A microphone, guitar and amplifier will be made available for use during the performances.
