Meet Piyusha De Silva

Originally from Sri Lanka, Piyusha De Silva has several years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, including working as a Senior Tour Coordinator for a travel company. Piyusha, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, recently moved to the Netherlands to pursue a Master of Business Management (MBM) in Travel and Tourism at Wittenborg. 

“I love the travel industry because it gives you the chance to work in new environments and meet new people every day. One of the reasons I decided to come to the Netherlands is that it is a spectacular destination for travellers,” she says. 

Piyusha is currently seeking work opportunities in travel and hospitality and plans to start her own company in the future. Her professional competencies include communication skills, proactivity, friendliness and cooperativeness. “I have gained plenty of experience working in the travel industry, where I learned how to handle different people at the same time, manage challenging situations and adapt to last-minute changes,” the student highlights.
