Fun and Games: Over 170 Students and Staff Attend Bowling Night in Apeldoorn

Participants Socialise and Make New Friends at Lively Event
On 20 February, Wittenborg organised a fun-filled bowling night at Bowlingcentrum Apeldoorn, attracting over 170 participants, including students, staff, lecturers and their families. In addition to socialising and bowling, participants had the chance to enjoy free drinks and snacks, as well as trying other games like a punching machine that records scores and claw machines to catch prizes.
According to External Relations & Events Assistant Ava Mehrani, the event was designed as a fun and engaging way for classmates, colleagues and lecturers to connect in a relaxed setting. “Instead of only seeing each other in a formal academic or work environment, this gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships, socialise and bond in a lively atmosphere. It was all about having a great time together, fostering better communication and building a stronger sense of community,” she said.
Sri Lankan student Ishara Arachchige, who is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication and Information, commented that he really enjoyed the bowling night and its atmosphere. “These types of events help relieve the pressure that students go through because we are always busy studying, researching, taking exams and handling other responsibilities. By attending these activities, we get the chance to enjoy life, hang out and make new friends. I am looking forward to participating in more events like this.”
