Boiling advice drinking water for residents of Apeldoorn and environs

Please read the following information received from Vitens:
A check of drinking water has found a slight contamination. Although the risk is small, we do not take any risk with public health. Therefore, we recommend boiling the water for 3 minutes before drinking or using it. Then you cannot get sick from it. We are still investigating how the contamination occurred.

What should you do now?
Boil the water for 3 minutes before you:
Drink it;
Prepare food or drink with it, such as coffee, tea, lemonade or washing vegetables;
Brush your teeth
You can still shower and wash your hands with tap water. You do not have to boil the water for 3 minutes.
How long will the boiling advice last?
We are working hard to find a solution and keep testing the drinking water. This boiling advisory is expected to last until Monday 14 October. We will notify you when the boiling of your drinking water is no longer necessary. We will provide information about the work in the meantime on our website.
