Matthias is a macroeconomist by training. Having studied economics and econometrics at the universities of Montpellier, Madrid, Bonn, and Harvard, he also was a visiting researcher at the Institute for Empirical Macroeconomics at the Minneapolic Fed, the St. Louis Fed, the ECB, ZEI, and the Finance Department at the LSE. Matthias has worked in various positions in the financial industry, ranging from Investment Banking to Asset Management and Hedge Funds. Currently, Matthias teaches various classes in economics, finance, and strategy.
