Gábor Molnár, PhD, Associate Professor of Applied Sciences, is an academic with research interests in high-tech innovations, (big) data-related policymaking, and applied Artificial Intelligence. He is also a business development professional with over twenty years of experience in the high-tech industry. In addition to teaching for Wittenborg, Dr Molnár is an Associate Professor (Adjunct) at the ATLAS Institute and a Fellow at Silicon Flatirons, both at the University of Colorado Boulder. He serves as the Evangelist of Video Technology and Science at Divitel, a professional services company based in the Netherlands. He is also a consultant for e-Conomics, a competition policy boutique consulting firm with a strong focus on telecom and digital markets.
Dr Molnar has extensive experience in B2B high-tech start-ups from seed-stage to post-IPO and acquisition. The clients of his consulting practice include Fortune 500 companies, SMEs and governments. He has published in several journals, including The Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Journal on Telecommunications and High Technology Law, Applied Economics and Discover Artificial Intelligence. He has also been a reviewer for the Journal of Information Economics and Policy, the Telecommunications Policy and the Review of Industrial Organization.
He holds a BSc in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest, an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and an MSc and PhD in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado Boulder.
