Have you received your PhD degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields recently, or you are about to graduate? Are you a competent, versatile and experienced lecturer who actively engages students in your class? Can you teach modules that are part of the curriculum of our School of Business (click here)? This position is suitable for (inter)national, fresh PhD graduates who are looking for a family-like business school with internationalisation and diversity at its core to start their academic development.
Face-to-face, classroom teaching is at the core of this role.
We are looking for someone with experience in fields such as Data Science, Digital Transformation, Information Management, Computer Science, or AI.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Teaching: face-to-face, classroom teaching, including preparation, exam development, exam marking, and administration and communication related to module teaching
- Supervision and Tutoring: supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in writing their final graduation assignments, and tutoring students who need additional support
- Research: collaborate on, support, and initiate research (at least 2 blind peer-reviewed publications per year in collaboration with other colleagues), support Wittenborg's research centre through workshops and seminars, and participate in EU and regional research projects
- PDP: involvement in Exam Board and/or Education Board and/or AACSB accreditation team and/or Erasmus+ project proposal writing team (area of involvement is dependent on personal skills and personal development goals)

Requirements:
- Freshly gained PhD degree (within 12 months) or will graduate within 6 months
- Experienced lecturer who can arrange interactive activities during lessonsCompetent in peer-reviewed journal publications
- Residing in the Netherlands - preferably in proximity of Apeldoorn
- Teaching experience in some of the following core areas: Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Data Engineering/Storage/Retrieval, Visualising and Communicating Data, Artificial Intelligence and Applied Machine Learning, Data Privacy/Security/Ethics, Data Mining and Analysis (large scale), Applied Statistics, Natural Language Processing
