PW41

Introduction:
This module is delivered in Semester 2, as 3 project weeks that span the full semester. The project week is linked directly to Personal Development and Tutoring (Mentoring) and students are expected to reflect on their personal development as part of their project week assignments. Note: although at Wittenborg the term class “tutor” is used, the role at postgraduate level in the IMBA is considered to be more focussed on mentoring students. Each of the Project Weeks each comprise of an interdisciplinary research project focusing on problem solving, instigated in cooperation with companies and organisations in the region. The 3 project weeks will include company visits and guest lectures, designed to give students a connection to the local business community and to assemble information relevant to their problem-solving assignments. The preparation starts in Semester 1, with the outline of a Personal Development Plan. The PDP is developed during mentoring sessions with the class tutor, and will focus on the personal development of the individual student. The mentoring sessions are planned in between the student and their Wittenborg tutor throughout the year, and in Semester 2 will be directly linked to the work completed in the Project Weeks. As the Tutor is also initially responsible to guide the student through the preparation of a research proposal, and integral approach is adopted that combine Personal Development, Project Weeks and preparation for the final project, with the curriculum as a backdrop for knowledge and understanding.
